The in-person support event has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. due to inclement weather.

 

The reassignment and transfer window for the 2026-27 school year is now open and will close on Thursday, April 16.

To provide families with convenient, in-person assistance, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools will host a reassignment and transfer support event on Thursday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Spaugh Administrative Center, 1901 Herbert Spaugh Lane, in Charlotte. This event will serve as a one-stop shop for families who need support with:

• Reassignment or transfer submissions
• Enrollment and documentation
• Address updates

The reassignment and transfer window is for CMS families who want to transfer their child(ren) to another traditional, non-choice school. The Choice Department will also be on-site to support families with any questions or interest related to choice programs. After the window closes on April 16, CMS will begin issuing notifications to families starting early May.
